Went fishing this week as well, had more luck than normal and the neighbors dog joined us. I’ve never seen a dog so intrigued by fishing
nostalgia
The past week has been very nostalgic for me, went to grandparents on memorial day to visit my grandfather who’s health has supposedly been dwindling though he didnt seem bad off to me. I used to spend the summer at their house b/c my parents worked and my grandparents could provide free supervision. I remember spending almost entire summers not wearing shoes, goin to the lake, playing in the woods, riding my dirtbike etc. I spent next to no time watching t.v. or on the computer. Oh how times have changed. I expressed my disdain for all this free time i have on my hands and how im looking for a full time job and my grandfather suggested i find a girl to spend some of that time with, all i could say is “i completely agree” but clearly for some reason thats not something easily attainable for me.
One of my oldest friends who’s currently in the military was back in town for the week though most of his time was occupied by preparing for a wedding for a guy i used to be close friends with who i no longer have any contact with. The only extended period of time we got to spend with him was when he blake and i drove around attempting to find multiple things. Originally any strip club was gonna be our destination but due to the distance from us as well as closing times that was abandoned. Then came any bar which was also abandoned at some point. We ended up finding random places in his GPS including Babies Breath, which after much debate about what it would turn out to be, was just someone’s house. We talked about alot of things from “back in the day” and eventually just ended up buying beer in suwanee and heading back to my old house to drink for a bit also leading to a stroll down memory lane though it wasnt really discussed it brought up alot of memories. One thing that was said jokingly kinda hit me though “things have changed … a little” and i thought about how it appears that things have changed, but when i really think about it its almost astonishing how little things have changed, i think its about time i do something about that.

Had almost a week off kinda regretted asking for the time off i go in tonight only to find out my car insurance supposedly expired and i cant work w/o it, thanks to an email mixup couldnt be remedied in time so i worked free for 45 minutes and was sent home.
